A Worldwide Presence
General Organization
Seureca head office is located in Paris (France), where one can find the management team, the operations department with a team of experts working on projects throughout the world, and all support services: finance and accounting, human resources, legal and IT.
Projects in Europe, Northern and Latin America, as well as South Asia are managed from our head-office, while projects in other regions are mainly overseen from our regional subsidiaries or representative offices in Africa, the Middle East and North-East Asia, with the support as necessary from the operations department in Paris.
Seureca in Northern Africa
Seureca has been assisting Veolia Water in starting its concession contracts in Rabat, Tangier and Tetouan, in particular through the update of the water supply and sewerage master plans, and through the provision of technical assistance services.
Seureca is also developping its activity in Morocco on the external market (i.e. not as part of Veolia Water projects), through projects for various cities and funding agencies.
Seureca in Eastern and Western Africa
Kenya
Our regional office in Nairobi (Kenya) was established in 1984 and has worked extensively on projects in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia and Mozambique, providing numerous consultancy services in the water and sanitation sector, including:
- water resources development and busuiness and master planning;
- water demand, socio-economic, tariff, financial and institutional studies for the water and sewerage sector
- technical assistance to water authorities on leak detection, operation and maintenance
- preliminary and detailed design of new water supply and sewerage systems and rehabilitation of existing systems
- feasibility studies
- supervision of works
- information system, computer modeling, CAD, etc.
In 2006, this office was turned into a wholly owned subsidiary, called Seureca East Africa Ltd. The new company will focus on the increasingly competitive markets in Eastern and Southern Africa, maximising the use of local resources.
Gabon
Seureca began its operations in Gabon in 2003 as part of the Veolia Water concession contract in Libreville.
Responding to Veolia's solicitations, Seureca settled permanently in Gabon in July 2004, identifying sectors in which the Société d'Eau et d'Electricité du Gabon (SEEG) should emphasised its efforts, in particular regarding the investments.
Seureca anchored its development in Gabon, and more broadly in Western Africa, by creating a subsidiary, Seureca Af, in April 2005. Its activities include projects in the fields of water and electricity.
Seureca Af employs Gabonese engineers specialised in hydraulics, water and wastewater treatment, and hydrogeology, and can rely on expatriate personnel secunded from the head-office.
Seureca in the Middle East
Since 2002, the company has established a subsidiary in Dubai, UAE, under the name of Seureca Overseas, to oversee its activities in the region and offer a permanent representation and support for its project in the region.
For all project undertaken in the region, Seureca Overseas can also rely on high level technical back-up from its Nairobi regional office in Kenya.
Seureca in Asia
Seureca is present in North-East Asia since the end of the 90s. Its activity is focused mainly on accompanying the development of Veolia Water in the municipal and industrial markets, with in 2003 a shift towards the Chinese municipal market, which is the main driving force of Veolia's growth in Asia.
Our services fall into two main categories: the feasibility studies necessary to assess the viability of concessions or of other forms of service delegation for water and wastewater services, and the technical assistance to the operation and maintenance for those projects that actually lead to a contract.
The external market remains an important stake for our development in the area, and a first contract was signed in 2005 with the Municipality of Ulan Bator for the preparation of the water and sanitation master plan.
Seureca relies for its activities in the region on a team of expatriates, as well as resources from the head-office and other company's entities, as required by the projects.
