History

1959

SEURECA (société d'Etudes Pour l'Urbanisme et les Canalisations) was founded in August 1959 to provide consulting engineering services in the water sector world-wide, based upon French Technologies and Expertise. Initially active on the African continent in Gabon, Mali, Niger and Ethiopia, it quickly expanded to the Middle East, Europe, Latin America and Asia. This strong experience forged SEURECA's reputation as one of the leading consulting engineers in the water sector.

1998-99

A merger with SPACE International (subsidiary of Générale des Eaux) gave rise to SEURECA SPACE. The new company reinforced its international portfolio and strengthened its technical capabilities, notability in the fields of treatment technologies.

In 1998 SEURECA SPACE became a wholly owned subsidiary of Générale des Eaux, providing a complete range of engineering services in the water sector world-wide.

In 1999 SEURECA SPACE presents references in five continents, ready to construct a major international player in the water sector.

2002

SEURECA SPACE becomes SEURECA, in order to communicate more easily with the market, through an easier and more suitable name.
